07. Where do vowel sounds come from in the Hebrew language?

The original forms of the Hebrew language had no designated vowel markings or letters. Of the several types of vowel systems devised for the Hebrew Aleph Bet the one used today was created by the Masoretes sometime after the middle of the first millennium AD.
